Ukiah, Calif - Graveside rites for Viola Melvina Burnham Anthony, 85 of Ukiah, Calif., formerly of Newton, will be held Tuesday, April 30, at Palo alto Cemetery.

Persons attending are requested to meet at Wallace-Pence Funeral Home by 9:45 a.m. Tuesday from which they will go as a group to the cemetery.

The Rev. George Cuff, pastor of the First Assembly of God, will conduct the service.

Visitation with the family will be held from 9 to 9:45a.m. at the funeral home.

She died Saturday at the Ukiah Valley Medical Center in Ukiah, Calif., of an aneurysm.

Survivors are a daughter, Patricia Lee Thompson of Ukiah, Calif.; and a friend, Ethel Friend of Ukiah, Calif.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Hersal "Dewey" A. Anthony, June 20, 1963.

Mrs. Anthony, a homemaker was a member of the United Presbyterian Church and the Independence Order of Foresters.

The daughter of Adam and Bertha Hammer Burnham, she was born march 20, 1906 in Sully.

She moved to California from Newton in 1943. ~ Newton Daily News, about April 26, 1991.
