Edith Lucille Cole, 95, of Newton died on Monday, June 8, 2015 at Park Centre Care Center. A private family burial will be held at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
The Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory is handling the arrangements.
Edith, the daughter of James and Millie (Boren) Wheeler, was born on June 17, 1919 in Newtonia, Missouri. She was united in marriage to Ray Cole on July 10, 1938 in Pineville, Missouri. The moved to Newton, Iowa in 1950. She was a dedicated and loving wife, mom, and grandma.
Edith is survived by her only daughter, Connie (Duane) Venega; granddaughter, Dana (John) Harper; and a great-granddaughter, Heidi.
She is preceded in death by her parents; six sisters; three brothers; her husband in 2007; and an infant son at birth. ~ The Wallace Family Funeral Home, Newton, Iowa 8 Jun 2015.
