November 14, 1943 - June 2, 2015

Janine Kay Hasselman, age 71 of Monroe, died Tuesday, June 2, 2105, at Hospice of Pella - Comfort House. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 5, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Monroe with burial following at Silent City Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Friday, June 5, 2015, from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church in Monroe. Memorials may be directed to the First Baptist Church or Hospice of Pella - Comfort House. Condolences may be left for the family at www.coburnfuneralhomes.com

The daughter of William McClair and Janice (Worth) Livingston, Janine was born on November 14, 1943, in Newton, Iowa. Janine graduated from Monroe High School in 1962. She was united in marriage to Raymond Hasselman on October 11, 1963 at the First Baptist Church in Monroe. Janine worked as a secretary at PAG until JoAnn was born, but one of her greatest accomplishments and joys was being a stay at home mom. A lifelong resident of Monroe, She was an active member of the First Baptist Church. Janine enjoyed gardening and flowers and always remembered the fun she had selling greeting cards door to door with her daughter.

Those left to honor her memory include her daughter, JoAnn Hasselman; a brother, William Livingston and many nieces and nephews that brought joy to her life.

Preceding her in death were her parents, husband on May 14, 2015, and a brother, James Clair Livingston. ~ The Coburn Funeral Home, Colfax, Iowa 2 June 2015.
