Elmer Johns Dies in Des Moines

Elmer Johns, a former Colfax resident passed away Saturday morning February 7th at his home in Des Moines. He had been in failing health for some time and was seventy-four years of age at his passing.

He was a resident of Colfax for many years, at the time he lived here being employed t the Chapman Meat Market. After leaving Colfax he continued in the same line of work in Des Moines.

He is survived by his wife and two daughters and one son.

Funeral services were conducted from the Caldwell Funeral m in Des Moines Monday and burial was in Des Moines. ~ The Colfax Tribune, Colfax, Iowa Feb 1931.
