Alyce Butler Died Tuesday February 26
Alyce I. Butler, 84, died Tuesday, February 26, at the Skiff Memorial Hospital in Newton.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Darrold (Mary) Hunter of Colfax.
Preceding her in death were her parents, three sisters and two brothers.
The daughter of Charles and Mary Jane Johnson McFarlin, she was born January 30, 1896 in Clinton County, Iowa.
She attended and was a graduate of the Dexter Schools. She has been a resident of Colfax since 1939. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Colfax and the Ladies Guild of the Colfax Interfaith Center.
Funeral services will be held Thursday (today), 2 p.m. at the United Methodist Church, with Rev. Jim Pemble conducting the services. Burial will be in the Colfax Cemetery.
Music provided by Miss Eleanor Howell and Mrs. Frank B. Evans.
Casket bearers are Robert Dimit, Melvin Mullennax, Kenneth Meeker, Rick Hoenig, James Pieart and Roge Ruggless.
