Funeral services for James Gray, 85 years, were held at Bethel Church Tuesday afternoon. Rev. Emerson of Charles City, a former pastor at Bethel had charge. Burial was in the Bethel Cemetery.

Mr. Gray had some ribs broken about a week ago, and pneumonia set in. He died Nov. 1, 1936 at the home, where he has lived fifty years.

He was a native of Ohio.
