Edith M. Morrow, age 91 of Colfax, passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2015, at Skiff Medical Center in Newton. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at the Howard Street Christian Church in Colfax, with burial taking place at the Colfax Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Saturday, May 30, 2015, beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the church. Memorials may be directed to the Howard Street Christian Church and condolences may be left for the family at www.coburnfuneralhomes.com.

The daughter of Fred and Anan Marie (Gerhardt) Wade, Edith was born on February 12, 1924, in Colfax. Edith was a resident of the Colfax and Newton area her entire life. In 1948, she was untied in marriage to Robert C. Cooper. After his passing, she married W.L. "Smokie" Morrow in 1967. Edith was a member of the Howard Street Christian Church. Edith was always wanting to help others. She volunteered at Habitat for Humanity, the Food Pantry, Meals on Wheels and many others. Edith enjoyed music and was a wonderful cook and baker.

Those left to honor her memory include her two daughters, Carolyn Bielefeld and Pamela Kay Faber; 15 grandchildren and many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Robert C. Cooper and her second husband, W.L. "Smokie" Morrow, a brother James F.
