Visitation Service The family will greet friends following the Memorial Service and Burial with a lunch at the American Legion, 1101 W. 4th St. S. in Newton Wednesday, May 27th, 2015

Those left to honor Paul’s memory are his daughter, Nichole Brown of Warner Robins, Georgia; sister, Joy (Gary) Unruh of Emporia, Kansas; his twin nieces, Melanie (Terry) Waters and her children, Matthew and Marcus of Allen, Kansas and Cynthia (Matt) Gehring and her daughter, Tanya of Olpe, Kansas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Beth in 2013; and his brother, Jay Brown.

Paul served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

Paul was a graduate of Emporia High School in Emporia, Kansas

Paul had worked for many years for Farrell Properties doing remodeling and maintenance and he had also worked several years for Mick's Laundry making deliveries and doing maintenance.

Paul was a Past Adjutant and 4 year Commander of American Legion Post 111. He was currently serving as Sgt. at Arms and has been the Commander of the American Legion Honor Guard for 30+ years. He was also a member of the VFW Post 1655, Elks Lodge No. 1270 and the Emerson Hough Chapter of the Izaak Walton League. Paul loved to travel, sing karaoke and he enjoyed people, Paul was one who never knew a stranger.

Memorials to the American Legion Post 111 may be left at the church on the morning of the service or at the Wallace Family Funeral Home. Memorials may also be mailed to the funeral home please add, Attn: Brown Family on the envelope. ~ The Wallace Family Funeral Home, Newton, Iowa 21 May 2015.
