Prairie City - Arthur Boliver, 96, a longtime resident of Prairie city, died Monday, Jan. 21, at Clearview Manor in Prairie City.

Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Prairie City is in charge of arrangements which have not been completed. ~ The Newton Daily News, Tuesday, January 22, 1991.

PRAIRIE CITY – Funeral services for Arthur Louis Boliver, 96, of Clearview Manor in Prairie City, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan 24, at Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Prairie City.

The Rev. John Mc Kinstry, pastor of the Howard Street Christian Church in Colfax, will conduct services. Burial will be in Lowman Cemetery in Runnells.

He died Monday at the Manor.

Survivors are his wife, Leona; two daughters, Vernice Danley of Prairie City and Evelyn Wagner of West Des Moines; six grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, three sisters and two sons.

Mr. Boliver, a farmer in Jasper County since 1926, had worked for the ASCS.

Mr. Boliver, a member of the Booth-De Vries American Legion Post at Prairie City, was an Army veteran of World War I.

The son of Louis and Catherine Rebstock Boliver, he was born Dec. 13, 1894 in White County, Ill.

He was married to Leona Winegar July 15, 1918 in Des Moines. ~ The Newton Daily News, Newton, Iowa Wed 23 Jan 1991.
