Local Friends received news of the death of Mrs. David Conn, of Waterloo. She had been ill since August with arthritis.

She was Anna Millard, of Baxter, later of Newton, and was a rural teacher in this county. So well did she teach rural school that they hired her to teach a model rural school near Cedar Falls, for the Iowa State Teachers College students to observe.

Her husband, a brother Fred Millard of Newton and a sister, Mrs. Emma Call of Peru survive. ~ The Colfax Tribune, Colfax, Iowa Thurs 21 Jan
