COLFAX - Adeline Bartz Hidok, 75, a former Colfax Citizen of the Year and one of the organizers of the Colfax Senior Citizens and the Colfax Band Parents, died Thursday, Feb. 10, at the Clearview Manor in Prairie City.
Funeral services for Mrs. Hidok, a longtime resident of Colfax, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax.
The Rev. Clayton Sugg, pastor of the Colfax Presbyterian Church, will conduct services.
Burial will be in Colfax Cemetery.
Friends may call after noon Sunday at the funeral home and visitation with the family will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Memorials to the Colfax Senior Citizens will be accepted.
Survivors are two sons and a daughter-in-law, Roy of Minneapolis, Minn., and Keith and Lynda of Colfax; two grandchildren; a step-grandchild; and a great-grandchild.
Also surviving are two brothers, Donald Bartz of Mesa, Ariz., and Rusty Bartz of Montana; and two sisters, Betty Crooks of Fond du Lac, Wis., and Rachel Rudolph of Ripon, Wis.
Mrs. Hidok was preceded in death by her parents, husband, John, and two brothers, Norbert Bartz and Robert Bartz.
Mrs. Hidok was a member of the Colfax Presbyterian Church, and also was active in the Jasper County Democratic Party and Jasper County PTA and was a member of The Presbyterian Women.
The daughter of Edward and Lena Schwartz Bartz, she was born Oct. 4, 1915 in Dumont, Minn.
