AN OBITUARY
OF PARIS EVANS

Lynnville, Ia., Oct. 25, Special:

Paris Evans, son of William and Margaret Evans, was born in Lynn Grove Township, Jasper County, Ia., Aug. 14th, 1866, and died Oct. 18, 1929, aged 63 years, 2 months and 4 days.

Paris was a member of a family of eight children, six girls and two boys all living [see note] at this time: Mrs. Hester Dodd of Oregon, Mrs. Jane Dennis of Dexter, Iowa, Mrs. Laura Whitsell of Oskaloosa, Mrs. Angelina Potsanders of Clemons, Iowa, Mrs. Lida Johnson of Milton, Iowa, Mrs. Myrtle Williams of Marshalltown, and Roy Evans of Des Moines.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the A.T. Gifford funeral establishment, Rev. L.W. Reynolds conducting the services. A quartet composed of Mrs. Harvey Gause, Mr. and Mrs. A.T. Gifford and Rev. L.W. Reynolds sang a couple of selections.

Burial at Woodland Cemetery.

NOTE: Obituary, second paragraph reads: "eight children, six boys and two girls all living at this time"...but only seven are listed???
