Mrs. Minerva Perry, 83, died Monday, March 22nd, at the home of her son Oscar Perry at Clyde after a long illness.

Funeral services were held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Boyd Funeral Home at Baxter.

Mrs. Perry was a daughter of John and Olive (Newton) Barbee, was born northwest of Baxter in 1854.

She was united in marriage to Harrison W. Perry in 1870 and has always lived in Jasper County.

Mr. Perry died about 20 years ago. Surviving are her children Mark Perry, Oscar Perry, Mrs. George Gibson, Mrs. John Jones, and Mrs. James Kimberly of Baxter and vicinity and one sister.

Mrs. Perry was a life-long member of the Latter Day Saints Church. ~ The Colfax Tribune, Colfax, Iowa Thurs 1 April 1937.
