Mrs. Fred Garrison of Ira Dies of Injuries

Automobile She was Driving Skidded In Gravel and Turned Over.

Mrs. Fred garrison of Ira, died Friday, shortly after the auto she was driving, turned over with her, just north of Ira on the Baxter-Ira graveled road.

She was riding alone in the car and it is believed she struck some wet loosed gravel that caused her car to skid and turn over, causing internal injuries.

Mrs. Garrison was returning from a trip to Baxter, when the accident happened. Fred Garderner, a farmer living near by, found her and with the help of a traveling man, rushed her to her home in Ira. She lived about 30 minutes after the Doctor reached her.

At the time of her death, she was 21 years of age, and leaves to mourn her untimely passing, her husband, and three year old daughter Lorena, four sisters and one brother. Mrs. Garrison was the third daughter of John Kloppenberg, of near Baxter. Mr. Garrison is the proprietor of a produce company.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon from the Congregational Church at Baxter, wiith Rev. B. W. Northup in charge. ~ The Colfax Tribune, Colfax, Iowa Thu 5 Nov 1931.
