Former Resident Dies in Des Moines

Delmar Shields of Polk City died at a Des Moines hospital Sunday and funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at Hamilton's Funeral Home in Des Moines with interment in the Colfax Cemetery.

Mr. Shields was a brother-in-law of Mrs. Ada Toft and Tom Rowles of this city and after leaving Colfax was employed by the Street car company in Des Moines until his retirement several years ago. ~ The Colfax Tribune, Colfax, Iowa June 1937.
