Mrs. Eva Felshaw Kirkpatrick died at her home in San Diego, Cal., Jan. 4th, 1932, after a long illness of heart trouble. She was about 69 of age. Her husband, two children, Lois, wife of Dr. Herbert Pease of Blairsburg, and Roy Felshaw, of Kansas, six grandchildren, three sisters, Mrs. Viola walker of Colfax, Mrs. Laura Densmore Ozman, who cared for her in her last illness, and Mrs. Sybilla Woods, also of California, a half sister, Mrs. Flo Cole of Albion, and other relatives survive.

The family lived here several years, coming from Des Moines. They moved to Collins where Mr. Felshaw died in 1916. Later she went to California and there she married Mr. Kirkpatrick. She was a practical nurse and many knew her well in that line of work here. She was preceded in death by two small sons, Donald Felshaw, who was killed here by lightening, and Harry Felshaw and all who knew the mother realized her love for every little lad she met.

Funeral services were held in San Diego and the body placed in a vault. Her husband hopes to be able to accompany the body to Iowa in May for burial in the family lot at the Collins Cemetery. ~ The Colfax Tribune, Colfax, Iowa Thurs 14 Jan 1932.

Funeral services were held for Mrs. Eva Felshaw Kirkpatrick at the Amos Hanson home Friday at 11 a.m. Mr. Kirkpatrick went to Blairsburg for avisit at the Dr Herbert Pease home before returning to San Diego, Cal. ~ The Colfax Tribune, Colfax, Iowa Thurs 2 June 1932.
