Services Held For Former Resident

Dr. Charles H. Coughlan, 86, died Wednesday, January 15, after a long illness.

Services were held at 1 p.m. Monday, Jan 20, at First Presbyterian Church, Ft. Dodge, with the Rev. David Feltman officiating. Burial was in North Lawn Cemetery, Ft. Dodge.

Survivors include his only living cousin, Helen McDermott of Mingo and a sister, Lois Nowlan of Albia.

Dr. Coughlan was born April 16, 1905 at Mingo, where he graduated from high school. He then attended the University of Iowa Medical School, graduating n 1931.

He married Grace Ettinger in Iowa City, and they made their home in Tama, until 1934, returning to Iowa City and remained there until moving to Ft. Dodge in 1940. His wife died in 1984. ~ The Colfax Tribune, Colfax, Iowa Thurs 23 Jan 1992.
