Prairie City - Graveside rites for Neva Schrier, 81, of Prairie City, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 29, at the Laurel Hill Cemetery in south Des Moines.

Friends may call at the Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Prairie City from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 28.

She died Tuesday, Dec. 25, at the Clearview Manor in Prairie City.

Survivors are a son, Richard of Des Moines; a daughter, Bette Bernard of Des Mines; a sister, Mabel Shane of Blythdale, Mo.; and a brother, Ether Lane of Waterloo.

The daughter of Frank and Nettie Ford Lane, she was born April 9, 1903 in Missouri. ~ Newton or Colfax newspaper, December 27, 1984
