Robert Eugene Waddle, age 77 of Monroe, Iowa went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, April 29, 2013, at his home after a lengthy illness. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. at the Berean Baptist Church in Pella. Burial will follow at Dunreath Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Saturday, one hour prior to the service. Memorials may be directed to Bible Truth Publishers or Hospice of Central Iowa and condolences may be left for the family at www.coburnfuneralhomes.com.

Robert was born to Earl and Ruth Waddle on June 4, 1935 at his parent's home on the farm near Monroe. Robert accepted the Lord as his Savior at a young age. He graduated from Monroe High School in 1953. Bob was united in marriage to Margo Denton on June 21, 1957. To this union three children were born; Rick, Randy and Sue. Robert served in the Army in 1958. After returning from the Army, he resumed working for Maytag Company in Newton for a total of 17 years. In 1967, they bought Bob's grandparents farm near Monroe. He farmed and also worked for Pella Corporation, retiring in 2001, but continued farming. He was happy in fellowship with those gathered unto the name of the Lord Jesus Christ at 1812 Washington Street Pella, Iowa.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Margo; his sons, Rick and wife Stephanie and Randy and wife Tammy; daughter Susan Potter and husband Howard; 11 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Judith (Ed) Cowman and Nancy (Marvin) Renaud and many other relatives and friends.
