Died In Colorado

The sad news was received here Tuesday to the effect that Miss June Grant had died that mornig at the home of her mother in Denver, Colorado.

Miss Grant was taken to Colorado about a year ago in hopes that the change of climate and the mountain air would be beneficial to her health as she at the time suffering with consumption, and friends realized that a change was necessary if she was restored to health or life prolonged.

L. W. Bates, her uncle, left at (Word cut off) a.m. today on the Rock Island to meet Mrs. Grant and son Fred Who are accompanying the remains here for burial. They are expected to arrive at 10:50 tonight.

The funeral is to occur tomorrow at 2:30 o'clock, services being here at the home of Mr. and Mrs. L. W. Bates, and the burial at Oak Hill.

At the time of her death deceased was about sixteen years of age. ~ Newspaper unknown, but possibly the Colfax Clipper, Newton Daily News or The Des Moines Register 6 Apr 1905.
