John Eshelman Passes Away.

John B. Eshelman was born at Bedford, Bedford county, Pennsylvania, Jan. 9, 1853, and died at his home in Colfax Iowa, June 6, 1905, aged 52 years, 4 months and 27 days.

He came to Iowa in 1873 and has lived in the vicinity of Colfax nearly ever since. He was married to Miss Elnora Clement Feb. 1, 1889, and leaves to mourn his loss a wife, four daughters, and one sister who lives at Altoona, Iowa.

Death has come to this family before and taken away three children, the last about four years ago when Earl the sixteen year old son was taken.

Mr. Eshelman has been sick since last September.

The funeral was Wednesday afternoon, the services being held at the Christian church conducted by rev. DeJarnette, pastor of the church. ~ Probably Colfax Clipper, Colfax, Iowa, June 1905
