Colfax - Funeral services for Mrs. Harry T. (Hazel Irene) Thomas, 89, a longtime resident of Colfax, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7 at Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax.

The Rev. John McKinstry, pastor of the Howard Street Christian Church in Colfax, will conduct services. Burial will be in Colfax Cemetery.

Memorials to the Howard Street Christian Church will be accepted.

Visitation with the family will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, at the funeral home.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5.

Mrs. Thomas died Saturday, Dec. 1, at the Mitchell Village Care Center in Mitchellville.

Survivors are four daughters, Mrs. Paul (Lucille) Yoakum, Mrs. Ronald (Maxine) Carroll, Mrs. Clarence (Dorothy) Riley and Mrs. Rudy (June) Nikolish, all of Colfax; two sons, Richard of Monett, Mo., and Jim of Atlantic; 21 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two daughters, two sons, four brothers and three sisters.

The daughter of Horace and Helen Bridie Lavalleur, she was born March 10, 1895 near Colfax.

She was married May 20, 1912 in Colfax. ~ Probably Colfax or Newton paper. December 1984.
