Lois Ann Cox passed away on February 8, 2015, she was 79. Born in Newton Iowa on October 11, 1935, she was the daughter of Mildred and Mel Campbell. She was raised on Maytag Dairy Farm outside of Newton. She graduated from Newton High School and attended and graduated from the University of Iowa.
She married J. David Cox and they had two sons; Tom (wife Jean) and Doug Cox and one grandson, Kevin Corrier-Cox. A life-long pianist, she taught piano lessons for ten years. She and her husband moved to Phoenix in January 1988, where he became President of Harris Trust Bank of Arizona. Lois was a loyal member of P.E.O. Sisterhood and a Delta Gamma alumna. She was very active in Altar Guild in her church. She also worked at the Heard Museum Shop as a volunteer for 20 years.
Following a private interment, memorial services will be held at Christ Church Anglican at 2:00PM on Saturday, February 14th with a reception following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the P.E.O. Foundation or Christ Church Anglican. The addresses are as follows: P.E.O.
