Services Held
Funeral services for St. Sgt. Sheldon B. Woolsey, 32, of Summerville, South Carolina, a longtime resident of Monroe were Friday, December 1, 1995, at the Monroe United Methodist church.
The Rev. Karen Merrill, pastor of the church, conducted services.
Burial was in Silent City Cemetery in Monroe.
Memorials to the Monroe Child Care Center will be accepted
He died Saturday, November 25, 1995, at the Charleston, South Carolina, Air Force base.
Survivors are his mother and step-father, Virginia and Jack Paulson of Indianola; his father, Lawrence Woolsey of Knoxville; sister, Lynn Richmond of Pleasant Hill; a step-sister, Vicki Herold of Indianola; a step-brother, Scott Paulson of Des Moines; a grandmother, Alice Woolsey of Knoxville; and a step-grandmother, Mildred Paulson of Indianola.
He was born August 31, 1963, in St. Louis, Missouri, and was a 1982 graduate of Monroe Community High School.
St. Sgt. Woolsey, who entered the Air Force following his graduation, had resided in South Carolina for four years.
