Imogene I. Dailey, age 87 of Monroe, passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2014, at Urbandale Health Care. Memorial services will be held on Monday, December 22, 2014, at 10:30 a.m. at the Monroe United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Silent City Cemetery. The family will greet friends following the burial at a luncheon at the church. Memorials may be directed to the Monroe Emergency Unit of Fire Department. The daughter of Howard Arthur Nimmo Sr. and Jane E. (Hart) Nimmo, Imogene was born on November 3, 1927, in Oskaloosa, Iowa. On October 22, 1948, she was united in marriage to Forrest Dailey. She was a member of the Monroe United Methodist Church. Imogene was an enjoyed golfing and was an avid gardener. She was also very house proud, always having things cleaned. Clean enough to "eat off the floors." Imogene was also very proud of the time she spent as her daughter Terri's caregiver after she became ill.

Those left to honor her memory include her sister, Betty (Miles) McConeghey of Monroe; two brothers, Herb (Cheri) Nimmo of Waukee and Harry Nimmo of San Francisco; a sister-in-law, Carolyn (Wayne) Livengood of Newton and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, Forrest; daughter Teresa "Terri"; a sister, JoAnna Hollingsworth and two brothers, Harlan Nimmo and Howard "Ike" Nimmo.
