Newton Woman Dies Friday
Services Sunday at Christian Church for Mrs. D. B. Kuhn

Mrs. D. B. Kuhn, well known Newton woman, died early yesterday morning at her home on West Third Street after a short illness from influenza and complications.

Mrs. Kuhn, who was 78 years old, had been feeling badly for about a week but was not confined to her bed until Wednesday and her death comes as a great shock to her relatives and friends. She had been a resident of Newton and vicinity for 55 years, having come here fromKentucky. She was married to Mr. Kuhn on August 30, 1868.

Surviving her are three sons, Willie who has made his home with his mother, Henry Kuhn of Newton, and Charles Kuhn of Long Beach, Calif., and three daughters, Mrs. Dave Benjamin and Mrs. Mattie Dwyer of Newton and Mrs. Grace Labozeta of Des Moines, and a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 Sunday afternoon at the Christian church and will be in charge of Rev. Paul Becker. ~ The Newton Daily News, September 5, 1925.

Note: she is buried in Newton Union Cemetery.
