Mrs. Altemeier Passes Away
Death Came This Morning at 9:30 After Illness of More Than Two Years – Was 43 Years Old
After an illness of more than two years Mrs. Henry Altemeier of this vicinity passed away at 9:30 o’clock this morning. The cause of her death was a complication of diseases. She was 43 years old.
Mrs. Henry Altemeier had lived in Jasper county practically all of her life. She was born on a farm near Kellogg, February 15, 1847. She is survived by her husband and two children, Fred and Miss Alma Altemeier. Four brothers and one sister also survive. They are Charles Brooks, Veger Brooks, Jake Brooks, Vaughn Brooks and Mrs. Kate Ellis.
Mrs. Altemeier was a member of the St. John’s church of Vandalia, united with the church when she was a young girl.
No arrangements have been made for the funeral.
