Frances E. Foster, 95, of Newton, died on Sunday, October 19, 2014, at Skiff Medical Center. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 25, at the Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory. Memorials to Skiff Hospice may be left at the funeral home.
Frances, the daughter of Floyd and Nellie (Leach) Coon, was born on April 12, 1919 in Lohrville. She moved to Newton as a child and lived in Newton the rest of her life.

Frances was united in marriage with Gerald Foster. She worked at Newton Manufacturing and later for the Newton Community School District. Those left to honor Frances’ memory are her son-in-law, Keith A. Hurmence; grandchildren, Todd Hurmence and Darci (Greg) Farmer; and her great-grandchildren, Nikki Hurmence, Lauren Farmer, and Jordan Farmer; all of Olathe, Kansas. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gerald Foster; daughter, Betty Hurmence; and her sisters, Harriet Blanchard and Wanda Banks. ~ The Wallace Family Funeral Home, Newton, Iowa 19 Oct 2014.
