Roxie Noethe

Mrs. E. M. (Roxie) Noethe, 78, of 108 E. 28th St. S., a resident of Newton since 1964, died Saturday evening, Jan. 26, 1985, at the Skiff Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will be in the Newton Memorial Park Cemetery. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29, at the Wallace-Pence Funeral Home.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. today, Jan. 28. Visitation with the family will follow the rosary at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions to the
American Heart Association will be accepted.

Survivors are her husband, Dr. E. M. Noethe; three brothers, Proctor Stepp, Bates Stepp and Earl Stepp, all of Kellogg; a sister, Mrs. Don (Leatha) Hesson of Newton; a niece; and four nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Mrs. Noethe was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Sacred Heart Society.

The daughter of F. M. and Hattie Crockett Stepp, she was born Feb. 21, 1906 in Kellogg and was graduated from Kellogg High School and Nettleton College of Business in Des Moines. She worked briefly for Newton Manufacturing Co. before attending Iowa State University in Ames where she was graduated with a degree in home economics and art.

She was married to Aug. 15, 1930 in Omaha, Neb.

Mrs. Noethe also had resided in southwestern Minnesota, at Wilmont and Slayton, for 34 years.
