Those left to honor Zelma’s memory are her children, Betty (Jack) Davis of Kellogg and Ed Harl of Kellogg; six grandchildren, Dale Davis of Victor, Leslee (Jeff) Hansen of Oskaloosa, Andy (Angela) Davis of Grinnell, Annette (Jeff) Gritsch of Brooklyn, Vincent (Ling) Harl of Ankeny and Matthew Harl of Newton; her seven great-grandchildren, Eric Hansen, Jana Hansen, Heather (Josh) Steffensmeier, Ryan Davis, Jonathon Gritsch, Ashley Gritsch and Serena Harl; great-great-grandchild, Baby S. on the way; her sister, Donna Albee of Newton; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Bessie (Morris) Grimm; husband, Leslie in 1989; two brothers, Alfred Grimm, Albert Grimm; and three sisters, Una Walsh, Doris Deppe and Jean Nichols.
Zelma had worked many years as a waitress. She had also worked at DunLap Manufacturing Company in Newton in the Silk Screening Department and she had worked at the Maytag Dairy Farm.
Zelma was a member of the Kellogg Christian Church, Amboy Grange and the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post 1655. She loved to do crocheting and baking.
