Conduct Services For John Trotter
Funeral services for John Trotter, 72, who died at his home at 5:45 p.m. Sunday were conducted Tuesday afternoon from the Morgan Funeral home with Dr. W. H. Blancke in charge. Interment followed in the Palo Alto cemetery.
Pallbearers were Donald Green, David Trotter, Jack Trotter, Victor Atwood, Ami Huffman and Buck Jackson. Kathryn Johnson sang two numbers, “Shall We Gather at the River” and “City Four Square” accompanied by Mrs. Frances Singer.
John Trotter was born Nov. 2, 1865 in Missouri and as a child moved into Jasper county. On March 12, 1887, he was united in marriage to Thursa Warren at Colfax. To this union was born thirteen children, seven of whom are still living. They are Mrs. William Green, Mrs. Alfred Wilson, Mrs. William Atwood, Mrs. George Wicks, Sam, Bill and Floyd Trotter of Newton. He is also survived by his wife and his mother, Mrs. Sarah Allen.
