Services Held for Marjorie Thompson

Marjorie C. Thompson, 69, of Parkridge Manor Care Center, 4755 Parkridge Ave., died of a heart ailment Saturday at mercy Hospital Medical Center. Services were held November 1st at Hamilton’s Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home. Burial was in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Mrs. Thompson was born in Des Moines and lived in Altoona the last 10 years, moving to the care center six weeks ago. She was the retired co-owner of Thompson Ceramic Shop and a member of Ankeny Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the National Humane Society.

Survivors include three sons, Michael of Colfax, Steven of Pleasant Hill and Douglas of Bevington; a daughter, Terri Thompson of Altoona; 14 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
