Dennis James Kleinendorst, 67, of Newton went home with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Sunday, May 18, 2014, at the Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.

Dennis, the son of Don L. and Patricia Inez (Quinn) Kleinendorst, was born June 18, 1946, in Florence, Calif. Dennis and his wife, Ann lived in California for 57 years until March of 2003, when they retired and moved to Newton.

Dennis was preceded in death by his father; daughter, Jodie Lynn Kleinendorst; and his sister and brother-in-law, Mary Kay and Raul Ulloa. Dennis was a beloved son, husband, father, brother and loyal friend.

Those left to honor Dennis’ memory are his wife of 49 years, Ann of Newton; mother, Patricia I. Kleinendorst of Newton; brother, Frank A. Kleinendorst of Newton; and many extended family.

As per Dennis’ wishes he has been cremated, and there will be no services.
