FOR MRS. BUDDINGLYNNVILLE (Special): Funeral services were held Monday at the First Reformed church in Sully for Mrs. Joe (Marie) Budding who died July 27 in her home south of Lynnville.
John Ver Hoog was in charge of the services. Mrs. Lloyd Vander Krol accompanied Mrs. Claris Van Genderen and Mrs. Glen Elscott, singers.
Pallbearers were Bryce Anders, Alvin Klein, Darrell Klein, Dean Ludwick, Jack Tyrrel and Adrian Rozenboom.
Burial was in Sully cemetery. The Pella Garden Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Budding was born June 3, 1888 in Veenendaal, Netherlands to Evert and Hendrikji Beyer Van Engelenhoven. She was married to Joe Budding in the Netherlands.
The couple came to the United States in 1911 and had lived in the Lynnville area since that time.
Survivors include the following children: Mrs. George (Jennie) Kucera, San Diego, Calif.; Mrs. John (Henrietta) Wouda, Sully; Mrs. Paul (Bertha) Ludwick, Oskaloosa; Mrs. Louis (Eva) Anders, Oskaloosa; Mrs. Elmer (Nellie) Klein, Oskaloosa; Mrs. Vic (Frances) Smith, Goldfield; Joe Budding Jr., Searsboro; and Dr. John Budding, Wilton Junction. Nineteen grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Minnie Van Genderen of Lynnville, also survive.
Mrs. Budding was preceded in death by four brothers -- Arie, John, Tone and Will Van Engelenberg; and one sister -- Eva Van Engelenberg.
