Fredolin "Fred" Zwicky was born in Newton on 28 January 1920 to Henry and Elizabeth (Leuzinger) Zwicky. Fred, his 3 year old sister Dorothy and 8 yr old brother, George, all became ill with whooping cough. Fred and George died within a few days of one another. Dorothy survived and as of this date, February 2013, is approaching 96 yrs of age.
