JOE A. ANDERSON

Joe A. Anderson, 80, of Kellogg died of heart failure Sunday, June 25, at his home.

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday at the Newton Congregational United Church of Christ, with the Rev. David Raymond officiating. Burial was in Our Silent City Cemetery, Kellogg, with the Wallace-Pence Funeral Home of Newton in charge of arrangements.

He was the son of Simon and Allie Smith Anderson and was born May 20, 1915, in rural Kellogg. He attended Kellogg schools. He was married to Doris White Aug. 22, 1945, in Nashua.

Mr. Anderson was a retired farmer.

He is survived by his wife, Doris; one son, Donald of Gilman, one daughter, Judy Stevenson of Kellogg; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jim of Kellogg and Glen of Newton; and three sisters, Laurine Wickersham of Omaha, Neb., Grace Adams of Malcom and Dorothy Koger of Everett, Wash.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Roy and Clifford.
