RITES FOR
MRS. CLINE

Avalene Cline, 78, Newton, died Oct. 1 at Skiff Medical Center.

Services were Friday at Wallace Pence Funeral Home with burial in Palo Alto Cemetery. Memorial contributions in her name were accepted at the funeral home.

The daughter of James Elmer and Nellie Lawrence Warfield, she was born March 11, 1908, in Belle Plaine. She was married to Donald Loring Cline June 14, 1925, in Newton.

Survivors are her husband Donald L., Newton; three sons Alvin Gene, Newton, Paul James, Elizabeth, Colo., and Richard Dwain, Battle Field, Mo.; nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and two sisters Cleo (Mrs. Willie) Morrison and Roma (Mrs. William) Dost, both of Grinnell.

Avalene Cline

Funeral services for Avalene Cline, 78, of 711 1st St. S., a resident of Newton since 1925, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 3, at the Wallace Pence Funeral Home.

The Rev. Paul F. Nulton, pastor of the community Reformed Church, will conduct services. Burial will be in the Palo Alto Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions to a fund in Mrs. Cline’s name will be accepted.

She died Wednesday morning at the Skiff Medical Center.

Survivors are her husband, Donald L. of Newton; three sons, Alvin Gene of Newton, Paul James of Elizabeth, Colo., and Richard Dwain of Battle Field, Mo.; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Cleo (Mrs. Willie) Morrison and Roma (Mrs. William) Dost, both of Grinnell.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and three brothers.

The daughter of James Elmer and Nellie Mae Lawrence Warfield, she was born March 11, 1908 in Belle Plaine.
