Larry K. Rooda

Larry K. Rooda, 45, of 315 1st St. S., died of myotonic dystrophy, Saturday, Jan. 1, at Skiff Medical Center in Newton.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Wallace-Pence Funeral Home in Newton with the Rev. Mark Bennink, pastor of Christian Reformed Church in Newton, officiating. Burial will be at Newton Union Cemetery.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 9 AM until the time services at the funeral home. Memorials and Mr. Roorda's name will be accepted.

The son of Stanley and Beatrice Roose Roorda he was a born October 26, 1954, in Newton. He graduated from Newton high school in 1972.

A lifelong resident of Newton Mr. Roorda was a member of the Newton Christian Reformed Church and progress industries.
