Toni Lowry of Altoona passed away after a lengthy illness Friday, March 7, at Unity Point Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines, surrounded by her family.

Toni was born August 22, 1951 to James and Jeanne Purdue of Runnells. She graduated from South East Polk High School. Though confined to her home in later years, Toni was and avid fan of NASCAR and the NBA.

She is survived by her daughter, Michelle (Lonnie) Huffaker of Newton; Grandchildren Alexa, Paige, and Hunter Huffaker; Sisters, Patricia (Richard) Dykstra of Iowa City, and Cindi (Kevin) Crady of Newton.

Toni is preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers Randy and Terry.

At Toni's request there will be no formal services planned, but rather a family graveside get together at Lowman Cemetery in Runnells.
