Milledgeville, Ga. – The Rev. Roy Hannagan, 69, of Milledgeville, Ga., formerly of Newton, died from injuries sustained in an automobile accident, Monday, July 3.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at White Columns Funeral Home in Milledgeville, Ga. Burial will be at West View Cemetery.

The Rev. Hannagan was a former resident of Newton, but resided in Milledgeville for the past 27 years. He was an ordained pastor with the Pentecostal Holiness Church, the Four Square Gospel Church and was currently the associate pastor of Lighthouse Assembly of God Church and chaplain at Oconee Regional Medical Center.

He received his doctorate in theology from Jacksonville Theological Seminary and was a veteran of the United States navy.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia Johns Hannagan; three daughters, Teresa Baker of Milledgeville, Ga., Bambi Johnson of Gray, Ga. and Regina Hannagan of Rock Hill, S.C.; two sons, Kim of Macon, Ga.; and Rory of Milledgeville, Ga.; his mother, Marie Beggs of Milledgeville, Ga.; a sister, Dolores Smith of Newton; and seven grandchildren. ~ Newspaper unknown, possibly The Des Moines (IA) Register or The Newton (IA) Daily News, Wed, 5 July 2000.
