Merlwyn Myers, Former Newton Resident, Dies

Chillicothe, Ill. – Merlwyn James Myers, 57, of Rt. 1, Chillicothe, Ill., a former resident of Newton, died Wednesday.

Funeral services will be held Monday at Webbers Funeral Home in Chillicothe.

Survivors are his wife, Martha; four daughters, Cheryl Gaye, Mitzi Jo, Candace and Penelope; five sons, Michael, Patrick, Conrad, Daniel and David; and his father, Charles Myers of Grand Rapids, Minn., and several grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Ella, and a half-sister, Avis June Stevenson. ~ Newspaper unknown, possibly The Des Moines (IA) Register or The Newton (IA) Daily News, 1983.
