Helen B. Hills, 81, of Newton died Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2014, at her home. A private family service will be held at a later date. Helen owned and operated Helen’s Day Care Center for more than 50 years.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church and got great joy out of gardening and landscaping her yard. She is survived by her son, Bill Warner of Newton; and daughter, Janie Hills of Newton. Helen is preceded in death by Bill’s father, Jerry Warner; Janie’s father, Kenneth Hills; and an daughter, Connie Sue Hills, in infancy. ~ The Newton (IA) Daily News.
