James Baldwin Dies Tuesday; Services Friday

MINGO – James H. Baldwin, 48, of rural Mingo died Tuesday afternoon at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in the Graham Cemetery near Mingo.

Friends may call at the Cooper Funeral Home in Maxwell after 10 a.m. Thursday.

Memorial contributions to the Heart Fund will be accepted.

Survivors are his wife, Jeanette; three sons, Mark of Mingo and Timothy and John, both at home; a daughter, Elizabeth at home; a sister, Mrs. Ann Peterson of Marshalltown; and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Claude Baldwin of Mingo.

He was preceded in death by a daughter.

Mr. Baldwin served in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict.

The son of Claude and Louise Norton Baldwin, he was born July 2, 1929 at Des Moines.

He was married Oct. 6, 1951 at Kennett Square, Pa. ~ The Newton (Iowa) Daily News, Tuesday, January 31, 1978.
