Harold Gleason Rites Scheduled For Thursday
COLFAX – Funeral services for Harold Lloyd Gleason, 53, of 4B, G.M. Villa in Newton, a former resident of Colfax, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax.
The Rev. Robert Jones, pastor of the Colfax Christian Church, will conduct services. Burial will be in the Colfax Cemetery.
Survivors are a step-daughter, Mrs. Jerry (Sandra) Olefield of Cedar Rapids; two grandchildren, Richard and Suzanne; a brother, Chester of Colfax; and a sister, Mrs. Estal (Marie) Leonard of Fort Dodge.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and his first wife, the former Betty Olmstead, in 1957.
Mr. Gleason, an employe of the Maytag Co. for 30 years where he worked in the shipping and receiving department, was a member of United Auto Workers, Local No. 997, and was formerly on the Employe Council.
The son of George Lee and Myrtle Marie Bloomquist Gleason, he was born Jan. 29, 1924 at Cherokee.
He was married to Gladys Heaverlo April 15, 1960 at Colfax.
He died Monday at the Skiff Memorial Hospital. ~ The Newton (Iowa) Daily News, Wednesday, January 25, 1978
