Stella A. Harrington, 97 of Baxter died of complications of a stroke Saturday at Baxter Health Care center. Services will be at noon Tuesday at Hamilton’s Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home in Des Moines, with burial at Highland Memory gardens Cemetery here.

Mrs. Harrington was born in Wauzeka Township, Wis., and had lived in Altoona and Des Moines until moving to Baxter a year ago. She was a homemaker and a member of First Church of the Nazarene.

She is survived by a daughter, Lornas Laresen of Des Moines; a son; Elton of Menomonie, Wis.; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
