Jerry D. Frohwein, 76, of Newton, formerly of Marshalltown, died on Monday, Oct. 28, 2013, at Skiff Medical Center.

Funeral services are pending at the Wallace Family Funeral Home in Newton. ~ The Newton (IA) Daily News.

Those left to honor Jerry's memory are his wife of 54+ years, Phyllis Frohwein of Newton; children, Karen (Greg) Spillman of Marshalltown, Kendra (Mike) Koll of Maquoketa, Kevin Frohwein (Tina Bolle) of Albion, and Karla Leinen of Harlan; his eight grandchildren, Eric (Kayla) Spillman, Chad Spillman, Melissa Koll, Megan Koll, Jacob Koll, Kirsten Bolle, Nathan Frohwein, and Alex Leinen; three great-grandchildren, Ean, Laniyah, and Ryker; his siblings, Jeanette Jones of Minnesota, Janice (Loyce) Stanley of Albion, and John (LaWanna) Frohwein of Gilman. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Jerry was a fork lift operator for 34 years at Swift & Company in Marshalltown.

Jerry attended the Community Heights Alliance Church in Newton.

Jerry enjoyed woodworking, working in his yard, gardening, traveling, sightseeing, and country music.

Memorials to the Community Heights Alliance Church may be left at the church on the morning or at the Wallace Family Funeral Home in Newton. Memorials may also be mailed to the funeral home, please add, Attn: Frohwein Family on the envelope.
