Jacob Stier, one of the pioneers, and the last of his father's family, was buried at Ashton cemetery Saturday.

Funeral services were conducted from the Methodist Church at Mingo Saturday afternoon for Jacob Stier. Rev. Harry Robinson of Des Moines gave the message. Music was furnished by Otho Hulse, Eldon Geisler, Alta Neal and Dorothy Southern. Songs were "Abide With Me", "Going Down The Valley", "No Disapointment In Heaven". Pall bearers were William Salmon, Chas. Cummings, Lloyd Elrod, Joe Coughlan, Clem Lewis and Hilster Baker, Mrs.Hartley and Mrs. Armstrong were in charge of the flowers,
