KATHLYN 'KAY' M. WELLIVER, 91 ROCKFORD - Kathlyn "Kay" M. Welliver, 91, of Rockford passed away on September 10, 2013. Born October 13, 1921, in Odebolt, IA, where she lived with her mother, Cuba; father, Larry; and brother, Howard Pelzer, until they moved to Newton, IA. She married Paul A. Welliver, Jr. and lived in Newton until the Welliver Family along with Howard Pelzer moved to Rockford, IL. There they welcomed a son, Paul "Butch" D. Welliver into the world. She worked alongside her son as a clerk at Central Park Hardware for many years. When her son was employed by Camcar/Textron she became a clerk at Lantows Pharmacy. When Butch was transferred to Camcar's Decorah Iowa Operations, she went along and worked as a clerk in Rambo's Pharmacy until they returned to Rockford 16 years later. She returned to Lantow's until her retirement.

Kay lived with her son until she moved to River Bluff Nursing Home. She lived there until she joined her deceased relatives and friends in heaven. She is survived by her son; her very special and loyal friend, Schnitzel; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great- nephews.
