Cherie Lynn White-Helms, 63 of Kansas City, formerly of Newton, Iowa passed away September 9, 2013. Cherie taught special education throughout central Iowa Schools and the Kansas City School District until her retirement in 2013.

Cherie is survived by her husband, Greg, and her 'best buddy,' Willie; in laws; Robert and Jane Harper; Nola Harper; Monica (John) Post; several nieces and nephews.

Services will be 11 am, Saturday, September 14th at Peterson Funeral Home; 415 School Street; Carlisle, Iowa 515-989-3510 with a burial at Avon Cemetery immediately following.
