Isabel Nimmo Dies Sunday; Rites Wednesday
MONROE – Mrs. David (Isabel) Nimmo, 68, a secretary at the Monroe Elementary School, died Sunday at the Pella Community Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at United Methodist Church in Monroe.
The Rev. Jerry Walcott, pastor of the church, will conduct services. Burial will be in the Silent City Cemetery in Monroe.
Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Monroe is handling arrangements.
Survivors are two sons, Thomas of Shreveport, La., and Roger of Kahoka, Mo.; a daughter, Mrs. Pete (Kathy) Oropeza of West Covina, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; her mother, Kathleen Thomas of Pella; a brother, Mark Thomas of Bartlesville, Okla.; and a sister, Josephine Minoch of Covina, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her husband, father and a brother.
The daughter of David and Kathleen Todd Thomas, she was born Nov. 12, 1917 at Pella.
She was married Feb. 28, 1942 at Pella.
